should marijuana be decrimilized?
2/26/2007 at 5:57 PM
I`m going to be honest about this. Back in the day I used to smoke a little pot.
Not much just a bit. I used to drink as well but have cut down alot on that. I was listening once more to a talk radio station from the states talking about this issue. There were views from both sides if the fence and than there was some extreme views too. " life for a onunce of pot" Wow I just about choked on my coffee when that caller came on. I think pot should at least be decrimilized for a certain amount. Like a ounce or under. Should a person have to carry a crimminal record for life for having a bit of reefer? I really think being charged with simple possesion is clogging our over burdened court system. If someone was to ask me what is more harmfull booze or pot. Simple, booze is way more harmfull hands down. I would even go as far as to say it should be leagalized, regulated and "TAXED" people are going to use it anyway. We could use the tax money for things like rehab, drug education and so on. Not to mention " just like with" proabtion" crimminal are getting rich of the sale of Marijuana.
Should a person be able to grow a certain amount of Marijuana for their own personal use? I`ve heard of people getting drunk and coming home to terrorize their family children ect... when drinking. I only speak for myself here. As a younger person pot never made me feel 10 feet tall like booze did. The only thin I ever assaulted was my refrigerater when I got the munchies.
If it was ever put on a ballot, I would " AT LEAST" vote for decrimilization if not legalization. Imagie the tax dollars we could get out of legalization. There are alot of closet pot smokers out there that hold down good jobs and have good family values
