Quebec held their election yesterday and elected a Liberal minority gov't - first minority gov't there in 130 years. Interestingly, the Parti Quebecois ended up in third place.

The money markets obviously liked the results, since the Cdn$ went up .4 of a cent against the US$. Analysts say that the sovereignty threat seems to be over for the foreseeable future.
