I've always been a by-stander when it comes to politics, even though it's a topic I'm very passionate about. Call it apathy or what you will, but I've never really stepped out apart from actually voting. Ever since I've moved to Brandon from Toronto I've really noticed what an opportunity we have in a growing city that still has a small town feel, to really see the effects of the electoral process first hand. As opposed to a big city like Toronto, here it seems that every vote counts. I get the feeling that an election will be called in the next month or two, so I think we're going to see a plethora of campaigning materials (I've already found a brochure from Mike Waddell in my mailbox).
