Here's a link to a story that CBC.ca has online;

What doesn't surprise me is that a crime like this could involve "authorities". I mean really, they are human like anyone else. BUT, what does surprise me is that the officer mentioned (8 year veteran) of the force who has been linked is "suspended with pay" according to what Ontario Law allows...?
Comon' now...with pay? Sounds like they have a prettty damned good union in Ontario...is this something that is common amongst all police forces or police unions? Why would they suspend him with pay if all the evidence they have this person linked with is quite overwhelming.
Just curious what others may think...or if there was any insight from our "knowledgeable" posters in re of "police and law".
