I see in todays news that Quebec still thinks the reduced spending powers in provincial jurisdictions(throne speach) is not enough and they want a one on one deal. I think we should do them one better but will really peeve em off. Lets say for example- the Tories do start a new program --say National day care-. To use easy figures lets say some billions a year . WE figure it out--it will cost every man women and child in this country on average--lets say 1,000. The Tories could reduce the tax amount to The Quebecers by that amount since they have their own tax system . That gives them tax room to raise the 1.000 per person to pay for their own system of day care!! Even corp taxes can be figured in since Quebec runs it own "tax" system. I know this Idea is half baked but at least the tax increase/decrease will be noticed in Quebec and maybe they will wake up and smell the coffee!!!
