Travelling To US Question

I've been looking on websites to no avail, i'm trying to find out what i need to travel into the states on a flight, i know i'll need ID and a passport but do things like criminal record(small one) and no licsence effect the travel regulations, if someone could link me or explain the situation more clearly i'd really appreciate it
