Raising age of consent from 14 to 16?

It sounds like this is starting to get some momentum behind it.
They were talking about it on "The Verdict" today where there were naturally people on both sides of the fence. On one side it would be said that changing the number in the law wouldn't change behavior, on the other side it's pointed out that we have one of the lowest ages of consent in the developed world. One of the points that was made a few times is the amount of people in that age group that don't even know what the law is.
What do people think?
