Metis leader threatens goverment & Private projects
11/15/2007 at 6:13 PM
l read in the Brandon Sun today that the Metis leader is planning on blocking goverment and private sector projects if they don't get there own way.. sound familiar ? sounds like blackmail to me.aside from trying to prove a point and wanting everyone to know he (Mr.Goodon)is Metis, not sure what his problem is.
He can hunt ducks if he spends $20.81 for a game bird license and $17.00 for a migratory game bird permit.he is allowed to shoot 8 ducks and 25 geese,8 praire chickens,8 hungarian partridge a day.what more does he want or need ? the money from selling permits goes towards manageing the game and setting seasons and bag limits.oh yea,and of course enforcing the laws .l have never come across Metis or native hunter (that lknow of)other than about 5 yars ago,we saw 3 guys deer hunting in the Souix Valley firetruck .
Mr. Chartrand says, they have done their part in by issueing Metis harvester cards, thats no different than someone isseing their own drivers permit..it will be interesting to see how the judge handles this one..he nows threatens that if the goverment wants to fight,he said they will lose !!! what year is this 1860 ?
