Kids Be Gone "Teen Repellant"

Heard this being talked about on Canada AM this morning and thought it was a unique (albeit controversial) idea. A device made by a company called "Kids Be Gone" that emits a deterring noise that is on a frequency that can normally only be heard by people 25 and under. It's being used by a couple of convenience stores in Edmonton to prevent teen loitering:

Over 1000 of these have been sold in Canada and the US so far.
Question is, if (when?) such a device comes to Brandon, would you support it's use? Is it ageism, or should a property owner have the ability to regulate such a thing based on age?
