Is this guy for real. People won't get sick if there are less hospitals! I think he's way out there somewhere.lol

Publicity stunt. He doesn't sound like a very serious candidate.

he decided to run a few weeks ago, the Liberals gave him a list of available ridings and his nomination papers were accepted a couple hours before the deadline. He lives in Portage, 76 years old. So I don't think he stands a chance as a Liberal candidate in Brandon West against the NDP and PC's.  
Interesting how no one living in the Brandon West riding want's to be a candidate for the Liberals.

Or a measure of the man's intelligence or lack thereof? Billy did suggest that 2 of 6 hospitals in Winnipeg be closed. With a population of over 700,000, sure, that would work, lol! On the Brandon Sun website fellow Liberal candidate Vanessa Hamilton tweeted agreement with Moore's statement.

My guess is any person looking at running as a candidate for the Liberal party also wrestles with the idea that they will be splitting much of their vote with the NDP thus hurting the left of center. Carstairs did it (Hello Filmon). If they weren't left of center they'd run for the PCs.

We'll never know if he actually meant it or not. It's pretty easy to come out after the fact and say it was just a publicity stunt. But you've got to give him some credit, if it was a publicity stunt.. It worked.

He saw how popular Trump is in the U.S. due to his antics and thought it would fly here??

Some may think he is a clown on this issue. Publicity stunt? Oh Yes.  
 
We do need to do a good health care debate in this election. Hospital count? Might be a good start to at least look at Provincial hospitals/ages/nursing stations etc.  
 
The whole kit a caboodle regarding health care be it pre natal to current/urgent care and end of life needs a good look see.  

Liberals can't even get their stories together and their nomination papers, perhaps they should go back to elections 101 for the next time, if their great leader hasn't broke us bye then.

a "publicity stunt". I think it became a publicity stunt AFTER Liberal leader Rana Bokhari spoke to Billy Moore,  
 
When first questioned about his comments he said that he would stand behind them.  
 
Billy also said that he will "take the Brandon West riding". Should be interesting to see how many votes he gets

That's a good way to back out after saying something absurd. Hopefully the Libs won't be surprised when they don't get elected.

Pretty bad when someone can't run on honesty and integrity as a first time candidate. I think he knew what he was saying originally, he did say he stood behind his statements. No credibility for this guy.

No credibility for him or Hamilton and Bokhari either for standing behind Moore.  
 
Sure, people are talking about him and his publicity stunt but now no one is going to take him seriously.

I wish provincial and federal candidates/governments here in CANADA would stop trying to trump the inane behaviour of the American governments/candidates.

What is it with the Pc's. They laid off nurses and cut jobs and we had Filmon Fridays.Those were the days eh. (RIDICULE) Now this joker thought that this would be a good idea to get attention, well he did get attention negative. Has this guy never heard of first impressions. Does he think that people who have diseases are faking it, and the Doctors are idiots. He has manages to insult so many people it is unbelievable. He might as well pack it in and go home. Anyone that would vote for him has no respect for anyone in the medical field,or for the people that are ill and dying. This man is not in his right mind. He wants to oversee a government position. WAIT..... he just might fit right in with some others(RIDICULE). JR.does not care about Canadians as always its the money and a POWER TRIP for politicians. I am so worried for the kids that are just trying to start out. Where are they going to get all the money to exist, to put a roof over there heads and food on the table. Sure they lowered the fed tax but other taxes were changed.Now you have to claim the child tax benefit lots of fine print.Lets hope whomever gets in can create jobs and improve the health care system. The PC'S said they will cut the ambulance bills, one word WHOOPPEE (RIDICULE).WHAT A PILE OF BS.But hey all just my opinion.
