Per the Winnipeg Free Press, Manitoba will now have fixed election dates. The next provincial election will be June 14, 2011.  
 
Exception being that if there is widespread flooding, a vote could be postponed until the fall.  
 
You could make a good argument that this makes things a lot more fair for opposition parties, who are no longer at the mercy of the ruling party and can properly prepare for an election.
