I am embarrassed to be living in the same city as these scumbags. And by scumbags, I mean the owner and followers of such an intolerant page.  
 
Anyone who promotes this type of activity are sick and disgusting people.

The Facebook page was about Brandon.... leading me to believe the person(s) involved live(s) here.  
 
And yes, I realize there is intolerance everywhere: I have been around for a while and have lived in many different cities and towns in both Canada and England.  
 
This behaviour is borderline neanderthal and should not be allowed on Facebook: it promotes violence against people because they are "different". Are you okay with that happening in our little city?

If you're not native you're an immigrant. All our families came from somewhere else and now we're intitled. Compared to what they left I don't think a little Face Book bulling will faze them much.

It goes a little beyond bullying when their addresses are posted and violence is incited. In their shoes, I would be very afraid.

I looked up the group on Facebook and it comes up as a 'closed' group with 13 members currently. But has this group been reported to Facebook? I highly doubt Facebook would allow this group to continue if it is reported, because it promotes violence.

The page was reported by numerous people last week and I was told it was "removed".

Large majority of facebook users are somewhat normal people. But you can find hateful people anywhere.

It was still up this morning, but its gone now. I looked at the history, and while it was only 32 today there were upwards of 100 last week.  
 
There were people reporting it to facebook, only to get their stock reply that the page did not violate community standards. I guess they had second thoughts when BPS became involved.

This site was shared on my page and we were encouraged to report it. Quite a few of us did and received the same stock supply. Relieved to hear it was taken down finally.

I live near Stickney Avenue and I'm disgusted by someone encouraging the bullying of immigrants. Glad the page is gone.

That's really sad that these minorities are being picked on, singled out and bullied. Facebook has a horrible set of standards. I'm part of a special community of parents of children with a difference. We've seen our photos stolen and mocked or used for personal gain. Recently there was someone creating group after group promoting the death and murder of an innocent child in our community of differences. It took the hard work and time of hundreds of us to get facebook to finally shut the group down, only to have this person start up another one. We have since given up fighting and are focused on building this family up instead of focusing on the negative. I find in life, that's the best thing to do.

So glad i dont have fb...if i did, I probably would have joined this page just to find the culprets so i can secretly find who they are in person and report them to the local police for hate crime or even close to death threats against the people who reside here. This is in fact a serious threat. Their is so much racism in canada towards people coming from other countries Facebook makes it so easy to create groups like these. I think social networking has made it easier for hate crimes.

This page has been up for years. I remember someone mentioning it to me years ago. I looked it up and could not believe the disgusting content of that page. I reported it multiple times to Facebook but it never was taken down. I had totally forgotten about it but it's been up for a good 3-4 years.

Cities usually only make the news when something bad happens. It's good that were not in the news that much. Also, with globalization and media in the home it really doesn't matter where you live anymore...ideas are available for sharing with anyone, coming from anywhere.

I will never join FB. I call the site a toilet. Someone can slander you and your family and when you report to FB they do nothing!  
 
It's good that the police can at least stop this page.

I'm an "old stock canadian" and I find the mere idea that such a page exists abhorrent. Regardless how anyone feels about immigration, there is a time when we need to grow up and get along.

Update – Facebook Page regarding Immigrants in Brandon  
 
The Brandon Police Service has an ongoing investigation into the concerns regarding a Facebook page referring to immigrants in Brandon and will continue to monitor this and any other “hate” related posting on any social media platform.  
 
The police service investigation began in September, 2015 when we were made aware of the page on Facebook. A member of the Criminal Investigation Unit was assigned and he provided the information to the Forensic Computer Analyst at BPS who attempted to determine the originating IP address for the site as well as the identity and/or IP address of any of the members of the group. The page was also reported to Facebook by BPS several times through the complaints portion of that website. Unfortunately, the replies received from Facebook indicated their community standards had not been breached and they would not take any action on the page. The attempts to determine the IP address provided only general inconclusive results. No specific criminal complaints were received from an individual or group regarding the postings on the page.  
 
The Forensic Computer Analyst and Crime Analyst continued to monitor the site and found there were no active posts throughout the fall of 2015 and early 2016. Early last week, a new posting was made to the page which led to further requests to Facebook to have the page removed, which now appear to have been successful.  
 
The Brandon Police Service will continue to monitor social media for any return of this page or other similar pages that attempt to spread distasteful messages about any group in the city. Should any member of the public have information regarding the identity of anyone involved in these types of activities, please call the police service or Crimestoppers.

They need a solid reason, which promoting violence against a specific target in this case is.

Actually in the media release posted a few posts back, it says police attempted to identify the IP address and then later on in the release the police ask that if anyone knows the person responsible for this page, to contact police. So really the police were unsuccessful in their attemp to locate the creator and members of this group though the IP address. So I guess it goes to show that the police and government don't know everything your doing on the Internet.
