I rec'd the census form and phoned the number the same day to get a mail in form. You put in this code number and it says "we are mailing out the form" I do not want to do it online. now it is may 10th and final day, but I haven't rec'd my form yet....Can I still mail it in when it does eventually come in the mail?

I was talking to Stats Canada this morning as I have lost my form. They informed me it isn't the final day, just a reference day. Probably just to get people to get it done. I am waiting for another form to, as I have accidentally thrown mine out.

Like JoBeth says, it's not the final day. A census is a snapshot, so what they want is what everyone was/is/doing/living/ages etc on May 10. It's what Canada looks like on May 10, 2016. If you complete the form before or after May 10, you just answer it pretending it's May 10.  
 
The census has actually been going on for months in areas where it all needs to be manually.  
 
If you don't get your form in a week, I would call again about it.

I didn't get a form in the mail either. Can I just skip it cause they never sent me one.

mine was hand delivered to me - it was not mailed.  
 
I just wonder why the OP does not want to do it online? Have you a specific reason for not doing so online???

Always fake they are millionares and have like 13 kids just to pay with census canada.

We were hand delivered ours tonight (10 May) at 6:30 pm and told we HAD TO HAVE IT DONE TONIGHT.

They want people to get them done on May 10 or as soon as possible afterwards. If you have not completed your census form in about two weeks time, government paid employees will begin phoning people and making house calls to try to get people to complete their phones. This could last months in order to have everyone get their form in. If you do not want your tax dollars wasted on paying those employees to do those jobs, please just do your census form! The short form literally takes two minutes online to complete. From one tax payer to the next, please just complete the form to the best of your ability. Thanks!

I knew there was a census obviously, but have not received anything in the mail or seen anyone at our house, although we are rural. But... nonetheless, how are people to know when it has to be done by if we don''t get the information? I'll try and go online today now I know.  
 
Just tried but need the code they send you, being they haven't sent me anything, I can't complete it. So, no code =: no census. I tried!

According to what I found with a 10 second google search, the forms were mailed out in waves and some people may not receive it until the end of this week. If you don't get it by the end of the week you should phone 1-855-700-2016.

Why on earth would you submit false information? Stats Canada doesn't conduct the census to be nosey. Shame on your 'friends'.
