She lays out the actual facts, including the reason the whole situation came about in the first place. Yes Trudeau was absolutely wrong in getting up in the first place, but he tried to apologize immediately. The delay tactics and behavior of the NDP is what is appalling to me about this whole situation.

Elizabeth May ! I am glad she has the courage and integrity to set the hyper-partisanship aside and describe the event in rational terms.  
 
The behaviour of all involved was disgraceful. Trudeau leaving his seat to get involved, the NDP blocking the Tory whip, Mulcair's screaming, Brosseau's deliberate drama, Van Loan's hypocrisy all contributed. Shameful behaviour.  
 
Assault? No  
 
Dumb ? Yes  
 
Childish ? Absolutely !

Just read on the CBC that she says she's still personally shaken by the incident.

an actual elbow or just that his elbow just brushed her as they went by? While watching the video I posted I don''t see any intentional elbow or any other type of intentional physical contact. I see more of incidental contact. It''s just like bumping by someone in a crowded Walmart.

Looks like the NDP may of had intent to cause the incident. They were against something the Liberals tried to do and now after this, the Liberals backed down on their plans.

At the end it looks like Trudeau went to directly apologise directly to her. I still fail to see anything more than an incidental bump. It looks like he may not of known who exactly he bumped. It was her and Mulclair that was were intentionally blocking the Whip.  
 
The way I see it, the NDP are as much at fault than anyone else in this incident.

Make him no longer Prime Minister and he running our country boy are were in real trouble. How old is Justin Trudeau , just think about it a minute, are we letting a good man running our Canada. I 'am a shamed as a Canadian.

yes - I agree with what you wrote - he was simply trying to get business done - that gal should try riding on a public bus - then she can complain about being elbowed - wonder if she has ever been present at a public concert? stood in line to be the first one in some business on a "Black Friday" scene - ?  
 
This was nothing serious - just someone trying to get some noteriety - those people were "blocking the process" - and being contempuous -

I believe the date is actually June 3rd, NOT June 30th - and Trudeau has apologized over and over - what more can be done now??? And for it to become an "Investigation" now, is ridiculous. Clearly he was just trying to get things moving.

Utterly ridiculous all this publicity and now a supposedly investigation. How much is that going to cost us? Get on with more important things in Parliament!!

What a bunch of immature ignoramous' men - Justin did what had to be done - sad to say - and those others were blocking the NDP guy - and were being contemptuous - !!! Bloody hell, if that was what it takes to get our children to do things we need them too, I say, why can't we do that to Adults???? That was what Justin was doing. Also, when you look at the picture in this article, you can see the hair on that woman who is now saying Justin assaulted her - you can see movement - and that indicates to me that she moved INTO Justin Trudeaus space - she was moving towards him - trying to block him - there was no reason for her to move forward - and now cry foul - do you see it too?

Ive been to bug box retail stores and garage sales before. Ive never seen somebody get an elbow in the chest or pushed and ive never stormed across the store to take somebody by the hand and drag them out while uttering the f'bomb at people.

Seems to be overlooked by those who think JT was just "getting things done". If anyone doesn't know, he was recorded on tape saying "get the $%&@ out of the way". Not the way I would like my PM to conduct himself.

Why would I want a leader that puts up with stalling tactics like this?

So if someone uses stall tactic the PM should leap from his seat and bust a few heads if necessary? Its not his job.

It's funny how the same people who are saying trudeau did nothing wrong would have called for harper's resignation if he would have done the same thing. hypocrites. Harper had class, too bad people didn't give him the respect he deserved.

Yeah, Harper had so much class he waited until the day after the Duffy trial was officially put to bed and he didn't need to be protected by parliamentary privilege from testifying before he "retired". Now we get to foot the bill for an unnecessary by-election. Someone with class and nothing to hide would have just not run in the last election.
