Over the last while (10 months) there have been 4 severed human feet found washed up on islands on the west coast. I think it's strange that they are all right feet, and all still with shoes on.
The article also says the feet don't appear to have been forcibly removed - the reporter must have a different meaning for the word forcibly than I do. I can't think of a way to gently coax a foot to separate from the leg.
