Growers and Smokers - you still need to have a doctor's prescription.
Natural Health Services - No cost to see one of their doctors for the prescription, but you need to attend appointments in Winnipeg every 3 months.
Tweed Main Street - you still need to have a doctor's prescription. " |

You don't require a doctors pres:cription, but you will require some form of documented medical history.
The process with Growers N Smokers went like this at the time I went through them.
G&S puts you in contact with MMC
You talk to a consultant from MMC
Pay $50 One-Time Fee (If you like what you hear)
MMC requests permission for your medical history & is your medical history reviewed by there Doctor
If your current documented medical history meets there Doctors requirements, then you will be given a VSEE appointment with there Doctor.
A Consultant from MMC will basically arrange all this for you, all you have to do is download VSEE on your mobile phone or computer.
The doctor is just like your gp the only difference is its done over VSEE which is basically a Skype clone. The Dr will basically interview you / asses you over VSEE.
Depending on your medical condition they might ask for you to provide research or more information on your condition before there doctor is willing to sign your pres:cription (MMC consultants will also do research on your behalf to an extent).
OR they might just sign off on it right away. Everybody's condition is different and not everything has document research behind it.
If you're not approved on your first VSEE appointment they will work with you to get approved as long as you have a legitimate claim.
That was how it work when I applied. Now I am pretty sure G&S puts you in contact with somebody local or rural, they're only a phone call or Facebook message away.
