I called my dentist office and the voicemail said that if it was urgent, to call the hospital. I called the hospital. The hospital told me the procedure is to come into the ER and be seen by a Dr. and then the dentist on call would be called. I split my root canal tooth on a stupid block of those damn Lego candies from Bulk Barn. Frick. It can't wait as its loose and I don't want the tooth pieces to dislodge while I sleep. My question is: Is there any other after hours dentist option in Brandon? I don't want to sit here for 4-5 hours and take resources away from people who really need it. Thank you.

I'm starting to feel bad for the dentist on call. By the time I finally get in to see an ER doctor, the dentist on call will be crawling into bed and falling sleep. Poor guy. Now I'm gonna drag him out of bed. I wish the nurses here would just call him before he goes to bed.

Except if the doctor feels that it is not an emergency, he/she will not call the dentist on call in the middle of the night. The doctor will assess and determine if it is indeed an emergency that necessitates waking up the dentist on call.

Broke my crown on a root canal tooth Wednesday I called and can't get in for about a week and a half. They asked if I was in pain and when I said no I was told to just not eat on that side. I guess it depends on the seriousness of the break. I am on a cancellation list.

My dentist isn't open over the weekend but I found Victoria Dental was. I went to see them instead. They were so awesome my indecision to switch dentists has been solved. I'm switching.
