Glass are all my husband will use, he works with paints and finishes and they double as safety glasses this way. And you can wash them like crazy, you cannot do that with plastic. If you have a light pres:cription there is no reason not to get glass. " |

You may want to check on the suitability of contact lenses as a "safety feature". They do not offer any protection and actually increase the risk of damage to the eyes in some environments. Have your husband check with his safety officer at work. " |

does it say that contact lenses are being used as a safety feature? Her husband gets glass lenses and in his line of work they double as safety glasses. " |

What I am saying is that they don't double as safety glasses, and that is a dangerous myth to spread. I should know, I am a safety officer. " |

what you were intending to say in your comment and I agree, is that standard glass lenses should not be used in place of safety glasses however you used the term "contact lenses" as being unsuitable as a safety feature and I was just trying to point out that nobody, that I read, stated that contact lenses were being used as a safety feature. I was not trying to confuse the issue, spread a myth nor take away from the point you were making.
