So its getting to be that time of the year and Im trying to find an answer to this question as it caused me some issues at my job last year.  
 
I travel everyday on the low road to get to work and last year during one of our huge storms that caused horrible road conditions and closures I called into work stating that the low road was closed/travel was not advised etc, I got into trouble because according to work the low road was never closed even though radio stations were stating that it was. I called the rcmp after getting into some trouble at work and was told really common sense should be that if hwy 1 to Winnipeg is closed than the low road is too(from what I have been able to gather from talking to that the base has actually adopted this policy too)....that they dont have enough staff etc to put up baracades on all the hwys when there are closures etc. HOWEVER when I told my work that someone from work called and got a completely different answer than I did. So does the low road ever officially close? Is there any actual website to go to that shows the low road when hwy's are getting closed. Im hoping that if I have some written proof from somewhere offical that should I run into issues this winter it wont be such a huge deal.
