Just tried to head into Brandon from Shilo, had to turn around. You can't see the road.

Same as above. I tried going to Winnipeg for my job and I had to turn around I couldn't see the lines or really where i was on the road at all for the most part. I seen at least 3 vehicles that drove into the ditch because they couldn't see the road.

was listening to the radio and there is backed up traffic on the #10 south. People are stuck in snow drifts on the highway.

I appreciate the first hand accounts. Info from highways and even Winnioeg news are dreadfully useless.

has anyone any information on the #10 North from Bdn to Minnedosa? Or the #16 from Mdsa to Glasdstone? Thanks

is bad. Snow drifts on highway and very poor visibility

Hwy 25 east of Rivers. Visibility is zero. Drifts forming on the road. Had to turn around.

511 just shows a yellow/black, but that doesn't compare to what everyone is saying the other roads are like!

The Winnipeg news shows no interest in anything outside the perimetre, the weather networks were saying words like "treacherous" "no visibility" and "travel not advised", and the 511 Map was still black until 4:50 am this morning.  
 
Heck, even the weather network maps shows open and good driving conditions.  
 
I have been up since about 2:30 - the wind howling and garbage cans banging around outside woke me up and had me thinking the conditions on the highway would be pretty awful from past experience!

I stopped getting ready to go, and won't try to make to work, but I always feel guilty when the maps say it's fine and I don't go and try to make it. Even when I know its dangerous and all that :/ Hope everyone is careful, safe and warm today!

I came in this morning from Douglas on Hwy 1. Road is bare with blowing snow as Highways is stating. Did 60 all way in and wasn't an issue. Blowing snow made it a bit hard to see in places. But hwy was good driving conditions. Couple spots there was some small drifts that were on edges but nothing bad. Few cars in ditch and some semis pulled over.  
 
The gravel roads to get to hwy were terrible.

Drove the exact same, Highway 1 Douglas to Brandon (1st st) and roads bare and dry, few spots with bad blowing snow but on the whole not too bad.

Has anyone traveled 10 south from Souris turnoff to Brandon lately? Cars seem to be moving pretty good from what I see but it is a bit sheltered.
