I got a unlocked blackberry classic from someone (not stolen) and they said there shouldn't be any issue with blackberry anti theft protect and they factory reset the phone. The phone turned on at the normal screen for a factory reset. Then it came to the screen with asking your blackberry id and I can't use mine as I figured out the phone has the blackberry protect and only the original owner can do that, and finding that person isn't a option. So it sits at the blackberry id part. I thought I'd try using my old blackberry id and that didn't work. I really love the older blackberry phones with the keyboard and wanted to use it til its end of life. No response from Blackberry either. Is there any way to fix this? I will not throw this cool phone out if there is a way to get this part fixed and use it. Its a blackberry classic (q20) and I really want to fix this so I can use it as long as possible....My getting another one isn't a option for me $$ wise at this point.

I know you said it wasn't stolen, but are you SURE they didn't steal it? Sounds like you bought it from someone you didn't know if you're unable to go back to them and get them to fix it.  
 
Maybe try someplace that sells used phones. There was one in the Town Centre, but I have idea if they are still around.

Was told it wasn't stolen and it showed the phone on when I tried to turn it on to see if it worked, so I figured it was fine lol. Ive bought android and flip phones from ebrandon before that were fine.  
I don't know how much it would cost to fix this so thought I'd see if anyone here knows how I can fix it or try to as if I have to take it somewhere to fix it I hope it won't cost much.  
so trying options before having to do that as whether its $ to buy another one or get it fixed its abit tough due to income I'll see what others say on here or if I get pm'd or something, I dont want to give up on this phone as I said I really like Blackberry phones lol I was bummed out that they will be end of life I think its Jan next year or something. As for a place downtown I don't go downtown as I have walking issues and don't want to be a target lol I can't defend myself like I used to lol Also haven't used a bus since covid.

Mobile Klinik in the Shoppers Mall repairs cell phones and sells pre-owned/refurbished ones. Their number is 204-650-0022.

Thanks I was hoping to find a way to maybe fix it myself before having to take it to someone, but i'll see what the guy in the mall says....  
Otherwise has anyone else delt with this issue and fixed it?

Check out crackberry.com . Go to the Forums. Quick search and I found some threads on this issue and some folks had success.
