BlueJeans said "Memory Foam has come a long way since you first started in sales and marketing over the last 15 years ago or so.
The myth that memory foam holding heat is proof of that. Again they have come some so far in development, local to Canadian production and if you look into it far better quality, less mark up in price/shipping and reducing the middle man as well in sales.
You do have to do your homework as to brand, mattress firmness, edge firmness, etc.. Like any other matrass out there. And as far as try in the store, sitting/lying on a matrass and actually trying it for 60-90 days r completely different. You still need to sleep on it till you really know how it fits with you. Pretty much every matrass comes with so many days to try and return it if your not happy with it.
Myself and my spouse we always previously went for pocket coil and spend no limit on getting a quality matrass but we have found over the last x amount of year that quality is getting less and less for the price. Our last matrass only lasted 5 years (was a Simmons) and was lumpy, uncomfortable in the end thus trying a memory foam recommend by other family members reviews. So if we look at price/quality, even if the memory foam only last 4-5 years we r way more ahead of the game! It would be nice to hear from others how long they have been using their memory foam?
We cannot tell the difference between it and a regular pocket coil! @$749 for a queen, we r not disappointed! Douglas for example has a 120 trial on theirs so well worth the trial for that price! "
We had a supposedly quality memory foam mattress from a national retailer, started out great, supportive and comfortable but started to fail after 3 years and we gave up on it at 5 years. Never again. It was the biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent so we went back to buying a quality pocket coil mattress from a locally run store. I learned my lesson.
We have got to get away from this throw away society that we have become.
