Electric Furnace Replacement

Has anyone replaced their electric furnace lately? What was the approximate cost? Who did it for you?

Wanting to see if it's in the budget before we start getting estimates.

We had to upgrade to a 200 amp service then also put in the electric furnace. Cost us around $2500 all in. Let me know if you want his info

Replaced one this past winter roughly cost 1100 dollars for the furnace alone. Took me and a helper about 2 and 1/2 hours to swap out with the old furnace. If you are contracting it out there will be the contractor markup on the furnace which will likely be about 30 percent more.

On the furnace for us. We were given the actual receipt for the furnace from where it was purchased. We paid what he paid.

Are the blowers on new electric furnaces more powerful than on a older electric furnace?

There is a lot of different variables in changing a furnace. Size, ducting changes/modifications, conditions of existing wiring etc. If you'd like to get an estimate you can contact them at 204-728-3936 or info@allfiredup.biz.

Like anything get three quotes. In terms of quality the cheapest might not be the best option.

Thanks everyone. Just didn't want to get estimates until we had a rough idea if it was in the budget. Don't want to waste contractors time for estimates if it was out of reach. Their time is valuable.

You replacing an existing electric furnace or switching from gas? Do you already have a 200 amp service panel is the biggest question for starters.
