Considering a new build. Does anyone have a ballpark on what the cost per sq ft is? I know there are a bunch of variables that’s why I’m saying ball park. Thanks!

at $130 per sq ft..what does than i:nclude..? electrical, plumbing , etc....what would be i:ncluded for that price?

Yea that i:ncludes the plumbers/electricians, plus gravel we had to have brought in. That was without the garage as well. We are having that built right now, so don’t have numbers on it really.

$150 is too low but I guess it could be because with an unfinished basement you technically built half a house. Cost us just over $200sq ft a few years ago. Mid range finishes. No granite etc.

I talked to a builder this summer and a 1500 sq ft home with finished basement and garage would be about 500k with higher end finishings and a septic field. Did not i:nclude water, hydro into site, or land costs.

We built an 1840sq ft RTM home 2 years ago for $85/sq ft. It came completely finished: vinyl plank flooring, painting, trim/baseboards, kitchen/bathroom cabinets with quartz counters, shower/tub, lights, plumbing and electrical ( had to pay for hook up). This did not i:nclude a basement in there price we had that built by another builder for $75,000. It was a cement/logic block foundation but can be done cheaper if you go with a wood foundation. Basement was not finished for this price just dry walled We also added on a double car garage a year later, finished with drywall and cement for $60,000. And a new septic tank system was $10,000. What was cost to move? What was cost for the water hookup. How many bathrooms up and down? Cost of Landscaping? Did you have to purchase a lot?

Didn’t do any concrete work this year but am curious about what a yard of 3000 psi is worth

Depending where from and how far delivery is, this year was about $200/yd. plus/minus $10, like I say, depending where my site was from the plant. Very similar in price from Sydney, Souris, Killarney, or Brandon.

For us, it cost $25,000 to have a home moved from Steinbach 4 hours away. Took 2 days. The RTM on its own was $146/sq ft. The unfinished basement (has to be dry walled to pass inspection) was another $110,000 roughly. Garage is going on now. Plumbers were close to $20,000 (including new septic tank). Needed gravel and such, another $5000 (roughly). Excavator (can’t remember the $ off the top of my head). Haven’t paid the electrician yet so can’t help there. MB hydro was another $900.  
 
So my numbers were a little low before (said around $130). I’ll jump up to $140/sq ft. with an unfinished basement and 1,000 sq ft garage. Finished basement I would estimate it to be around $150-160.

It cost us $10,000 to move it about 125km. We already had a lot we built on land we owned already and had hydro and water there already. Our plumber was around $25,000 and i:ncluded reverse osmosis and softener along with the air conditioner and hook up. Electrician for hook up was under $3000. We have 2 baths up and 1 down. We designed our own house plan and gave it to our rtm builders. They base price based on square footage not number of rooms.

Thanks for the price of concrete this year, also nice to know that most plants are comparable in price.

Are there any taxes to be considered...PST/GST?

Everything is taxed. Another thing you will have to get is a building permit, which the price varies from place to place. Ours was $1,800.
