Like Ronfay mentioned, you will need to give a lot more information.
"If" you have an existing basement, how high are the ceilings? If you are putting in concrete you will be adding 4-6 inches to level off the floor. Plus if there are existing footing pads for support beams then that will also have to be considered as well.
If you are not right in Brandon and have some space in your yard it might be easier to just dig a hole and make a basement that you can move your house onto. That will run anywhere from 50K to 70K depending on what you are using for materials. Then you will have to finish it as well. It won't be cheap that is for sure but in the long run you will have a great home.
Just a tip, when doing the mechanical room, lower that floor by an inch and a half, that way if there is ever a water tank leaker it lets go it will never effect the rest of your basement!
