contractor/ home inspector for basement

So I need someone to come take a look at my basement since the big rain this year I had water seeping up through the floor and the walls. The walls look like the concrete is slowly eroding away. So I probably need an inspector and contractor. Anyone have any suggestions for some professional quality workers?

a report from a registered Structural Engineer. Call Edifice Engineering Inc. @ 204-629-2215 and schedule an inspection. You will pay but should be part of your insurance claim. Required especially if you have a crumbling foundation.

If it is seepage from the floor or the foundation it I doubt an insurance company will cover you. Call and see what your covered for before you start anything.

I don’t think it will be covered either but either way I know I’ll want some kind of inspection before I do anything. Last thing I want is to band aide it and than the structure fails

Is it a finished basement? Or just a concrete foundation and concrete floor ? Do you have a sump pump or weeping tile around house?

If it’s seepage you might be able to remedy the situation by installing a sump pit and pump

I have 3 sump pumps in the basement, it is a semi finished basement. I don’t know about weeping tile but I’m sure it’s minimal to none in certain places.

All insurance companies offer different coverage.
Mine would cover this!!
Cooperators offers 3 levels of water damage coverage. They are awesome to deal with!
