Need decor advice

I am trying to make my livingroom as 'homey' as possible but need ideas on how to draw it together. You can't see the couch from this angle but I want to get a slip cover for it but am not sure what color, etc....
Any ideas on how to spruce this tiny (9'x13') space up?
