I have an 8 yr old daughter and am venturing into new territory with her....BOYS!!! I know times have changed and I don't want to over-react or under-react. She has talked about kissing a boy and had a friend go and ask the boy she "likes" if it he would be okay with her kissing him :o I was shocked b/c when I was that age holding hands was risque!!!! Does anyone have any good books or advice on how to handle this? I want her to grow up respecting herself and demanding that from others. I also don't want to talk above her head but need to get through to her on a serious level, which is hard b/c she is so giddy and giggly about boys in general right now!  
 
I am so lost, b/c as mentioned this is new territory for me!
