When does life begin?

I woke up this morning contemplating a very deep, personal and probably controversial topic. This thought came to me because I am currently going through IVF so it gives me a different perspective on things. (please note that this isn't a discussion of assisted reproduction OR abortion so don't even go there - start a new thread) I figured I would post it because it will make for a great discussion and I am curious as to what others think or feel about it.
When does life begin?
Does it start at fertilization - when egg meets sperm?
Division of the egg - when it starts to grow?
Implantation in the mothers womb?
When the heart starts to beat?
Movement?
Birth?
