self defense

does anyone know of a place where i can take my 13 year old, to learn self defense? We are having some problems with a "group" of girls who are harrassing my daughter, and she is scared of them "getting her". Only serious responses please, this is a big concern for us, and I would like my daughter to be prepared for anything! She will be going to high school next year, and I would like her to feel safe, since her school now doesn't seem to care, or think this is serious enough to warrant their attention.
