Newborn won't let us put her down

I have a two week old baby girl who is wonderful but she won't let me put her down if she is awake. I have a swing, she doesn't like that unless she's sleeping. Is this just because she's still so little? I like holding her but I'm going to go insane if I can't do anything else, any ideas?? Thanks!
