I purchased a toddler swing for outside, but haven't had any success finding an A-frame type structure to hang it from. I know I could build one, but the lumber and materials will cost about $100 and we'll probably only use it for a couple years until our son is big enough for a big play structure. I've looked at Canadian Tire, Walmart, and Home Depot for a simply metal A-frame structure, but haven't found one (maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot). Has anyone seen them around anywhere lately? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried sears online at all?

call the dump and see if you can remove items from there. if the answer is yes go out and look for a frame from an adult chair or couch swing. it works for attaching a baby swing too.

Canadian Tire lists that they have 8 in stock of their cheapest swing set ($160). I would ask at Customer Service at the stores, or phone and ask

In a swing set they can use for years to come. You're right you would probably spend close to $100 to build one anyways. I bought my son one for $160 with taxes (it was on sale at CT at the tire) came with two swings and a slide attachment. I purchased the toddler swing separately but he will still use it for many years to come. My 6 year old nephew uses it and a 9 year old family member who comes over and uses it. If you don't want to go that route, keep your eyes pealed on the classifieds, I've seen a few on there in the last few days.

can you make one yourself? easy enough to do with some simple power tools and some free time. there's lots of ideas on pinterest. or just google DIY swing set.
