I'm looking for a math tutor for now until the end of January for grade 10 pre-cal. Where do I start? How do I find one?

I would start with the teacher - most teachers will help before and after school if asked. I have tutored high school pre calc for a fee, but would be very hesitant to start working this late in the semester with a student. Students who require extra tutoring usually need more than two weeks worth.

...They just gave you a perfectly viable answer. I guarantee that nearly every teacher will be happy to help during their free periods, mornings, after school, even lunch hours, if you need extra help, and they can teach you much better than a tutor can as they most likely know you better as a person, what it is you need to work on, how you learn, etc.  
 
If for whatever reason you still think a tutor is better, I know that Massey has student tutors who are glad to help out during the lunch hours, whether or not any other high schools have the same thing is something I'm not sure of.

They actually didn't. The question is I need a math tutor, how do I find one. They didn't answer it. You don't know the situation AT ALL. My child isn't at Massey, but thanks for that info.

Emailed to us today from my son's teacher of BU students who are looking to tutor in most areas. I can see if I can get it scanned and PM you with it.  
 
I do not see a specific pre calc person on the list, but there are A LOT of math tutors at the very least.

Check out the BU student's group called Brandon University Students Union, make sure it's the FB group and not the page or location. Make a post to ask there. I tutor in Applied Math, not Pre-Calc, and I know there are students who are always looking for extra cash.
