URGENT  
Brandon Pound cat kennels are FULL.  
Today, cats desperately need to be claimed or adopted. Otherwise, Animal Control will be forced to vacate kennels for new arrivals and longer term cats will be euthanized. Nobody wants that. Nobody.  
 
Please go to the Brandon Pound today to claim or adopt. The Pound staff will gladly facilitate claims and adoptions today, even though the pound is supposed to be closed to the public on Sundays.  
 
PLEASE CLAIM, ADOPT AND SHARE.

Applications are on site for free spays and neuters through Funds for Furry Friends "Save a Pound Cat" program.

Brandon Pound is located at Brandon Boarding Kennel. 66th St and Patricia Ave (3 miles WEST of 18th St and Patricia Ave)

Keep your cats inside. Don't let them out to wander. Never get into the habit of letting them out

People that don't care about their cats and let them wander and end up having to fend for themselves DISGUST me..there is no reason for this many cats at the pound, unless you loosers just let them go and don't care..

If one must have their cat, put them on a leash. Yes, it can be done. Check on them periodically so you know if they want back inside, they are safe from any strays etc. Have a bowl of water outside too so they can have a drink.  
 
I hope people will pick up their lost pets.

Pick up your missing cat or adopt one. These pets do not deserve to be euthanized, but they will have no choice. Please help if you can.

our cats have always been indoor, but are always at the door whining to get out.  
 
We just bought a dog run, put a piece of plywood over it with food and water - they can now be outside in our own yard. I would be devastated if one of them ever got away.  
 
Plus, after spending $85 on flowers last year, I did not appreciate all the neighbors cats in my yard, doing what they do in dirt. We called by-law and trapped a couple, as they also made our cats in the house go crazy.  
 
Look after your animals - mine are certainly my family.

There are a couple cats that roam our area. We actually have one that won't get the hell out of our shed. I can never get a good look at it either. Anytime you open the door it bolts into a hole that leads to god knows where. We already own animals so can't take in any more per city by-law.  
 
I would hate to add to the problem at the pound so does anyone have a live trap that can set it up for us to borrow? Maybe we can find it a home? Where it belongs.

They will bring a trap and they will come and check it a couple of times a day, even if you are not home. It is actually the City of Brandon police you call for this.  
 
That is how we caught a couple last year and our neighbors did the same.  
 
You can tell bylaw enforcement that you want to keep it when it is caught to try and find a home.
