it's a matter of too lazy to carry the poop bag but that might be the case. I think people don't want to be seen carrying the poop bag. Maybe someone needs to design a bag for these special people, lol make it a high fashion designer bag for them, lol

I live beside a lake and the poop bags are all over. Some of the people that leave them I know personally and are well educated and have good jobs. It is amazing to me that they do not know or think they should pick them up.  
Always has been a beef with me but doubt it will change. Yes maybe designer bags would be a good idea.  
My take.

I can't count the number of times I've seen little blue bags on the ground only a few meters away from a garbage can.  
 
I'm no more fond of wandering around holding a bag of turds than anyone else but:  
 
1) Any embarassment arising from the carrying is offset by the knowledge that I am demonstrating consideration and social responsibility  
 
2) It is really hard to be more than a block away from a garbage receptacle in most of Brandon so I don't have to carry it for long.  
 
I'm getting really tired of people who are too good to endure minor inconvenience in service of the common good.

My dogs harness has a poop bag dispenser and used poop bag holder. He walks his own business home where it can be thrown out lol. I did this cause yeah, never enjoyed walking with a poop bag in hand.. but i would still never leave it laying around.

Anyone who is too embarassed to be seen carrying a poop bag (minus those responsible, and have come up with alternative ways ie. The poop bag holder on the collar) has no right owning a dog. But we don't live in a perfect world.  
 
There are already "fun" designed poop bags, so I don't think designer poop bags will motivate much...but perhaps your right.. slapping a Micheal Kors, Louis Vuitton, Lululemon, etc convinces people to spend exorbitant amounts of money on basic things so maybe just maybe it could convince people to take care of their basic responsibilities. Sad that that would have to be done though.

them for leaving litter, maybe a cost to the pocket will start to alter their attitude.

Wondering what people's take is on this situation.  
 
I was walking my dog early on garbage day. All the garbage bins were out in the back lane. My dog did his business so I picked it up and when I got to the first garbage bin in the back lane I threw it in. The home owner seen me do it and started to shout at me. Telling me I had no right to put stuff in his bin. Now I'd understand if I walked into his yard and put my dogs smelly poop in his bin and it had to sit there for a week until pick up day. But it was the morning of garbage day and the garbage bin was in the back lane, full of garbage waiting to be collected.  
Sure I could have just held onto it until I got home and put it in my bin but I honestly didn't see the harm in dropping it in a bin that was in the back lane and waiting to be emptied that day.

That person needs to calm down. You did nothing wrong.

when i had a dog to walk. Nothing wrong with that, like you said you didn't go onto their property.  
 
Maybe the guy that yelled at you has had previous problems with people using his bin? Who knows what has been thrown in his bin?

cleaning up my dog's poop i said good morning to a guy and he said 'I'm having a better day that you" I said 'why's that" and he said because i was picking up dog poop. Oh really i said, that means you won't step in it.  
 
If you can't/won.t pick up after your pet don't walk them off your property!!
