Responsible Pet Citizens

The bylaws are pretty clear...
(5.1) permit any dog or cat feces or urine to accumulate on the owner’s property to the
point where the presence of same causes, in the opinion of the Animal Control Officer,
an offensive odour to emanate from the property:
[EN B/L 6493]
And yet everywhere I go, I am having to watch where I step! I have a large dog and clean up after my dog every time she goes. The city makes this so easy in public areas where bags and bins to dispose of the bags are readily made available (ie: the walking path around the city) and yet there's still feces laying around.
Families should not have to worry about their children coming in contact with feces in public areas, not to mention that feces can spread diseases to other pets.
Please, if you are going to own a dog, be a responsible pet citizen!
