does anyone know if there is an emergency vet available in brandon if your regular vet is not available and can't be reached?

Not likely you will find a vet if yours is not available. Call Glenboro, they offer emergency services bitndepending.which clinic is on call you might get sent to Killarney or Pilot Mound.

Phone vet clinic. Will have emergency number. Explain your problem. Will say whether to bring in right away or what to do or come in next day or phone appointment in day.  
 
Doesn’t have to be your vet.  
 
I have done this for my own pets that went to clinic. I have also done it for pets that didn’t go to that clinic (parent’s dog)

It used to work that way, but not so much in the last couple years. How many times has that worked for you in the past year? I know people who have been unable to get in, even for emergency, because they were not clients. Two were told they would have to go to Winnipeg.

Call Neepawa vet clinic 24 hours emergency on call vet. Wonderful people very caring. Will always answer the phone.

That was just a month ago.  
 
It was my vet clinic though which I have gone to for years.  
 
I do know that many vet clinics have no room for new clients. Perhaps due to so many extra pets from pandemic.  
 
Or perhaps pet owners trying all these other options (which take vet's time up) to prolong their pet's life for their own benefit rather than their beloved pet. Just search web for cancer treatments for cats and the pictures will want you to vomit and the mean and torture of these animals. Prolonging suffering due to you not wanting to let go is not a good pet owner.
