I'm curious if the recent Oprah shows about puppy mills have made an impact locally. Are you more likely to consider adopting a dog versus buying at a pet store? Do you even consider buying a dog from a pet store? Did you even see the show?  
 
I personally have supported rescue organizations all along. However, when I worked at a pet store (which did not sell dogs,) I was amazed at how many people wanted to buy from a pet store and didn't consider rescues or even breeders. Especially cats, why spend $$ at a pet store for a kitten? Cats are always being given away so get one for free and then spend that $$ getting kitty fixed and vaccinated!  
 
Anyway, that's my thoughts. What about you???
