i just wanted to share with those who also love pets my sadness.  
 
on Saturday Jan 3 an idiot who was driving too fast out here in the country hit and killed my little Shi/Poo puppy.  
She was just over a year old.  
 
this little baby was such a joy.  
the only thing about her that i could complain about, was that she thought she was bullet proof!  
she chased the horses, cars, trucks.... anything that moves and is MUCH bigger than she was!!  
She was a great dog  
Very obedient  
i would let her outside to do her business and would call her when she would run towards the road.  
She would stop and turn around and come back in the house immediately.  
 
Sat. we were getting ready to take the kids to the rink, so i let her out to pee.......  
she wasn't out there for less than a minute but went straight to the road and was killed.  
i didn't even have time to put my shoes on and get outside it happened that fast.  
 
now my heart is sad and i miss her terribly!!  
 
why is it that people are in such a hurry they can't slow down enough even on a gravel road to miss a dog that just can't stay away from that road?!?  
 
i don't blame the person who hit her.  
it's my fault.  
i should have put her on her leash!  
when you live in the country, you don't always put a dog on a leash to take them outside!  
i should have.  
Now i have to live with that.  
all i can think of is running down to the end of the lane, picking her up and sobbing...... that i let this happen to her!!!  
 
i miss her  
i wish i could go back to Saturday morning and start the day all over again!!!
