Our family dog died under concerning circumstances last week. Two other dogs in the community have been identified to have been gravely ill and have pulled through with treatment. If you live in the Sprucewoods/Shilo area and are a pet owner or know someone who is, it may be advisable to check your yard for anything out of the ordinary (all three of the dogs were confined to their yards).  
If your pet has been ill this summer you may wish to contact the local authorities in the RM of Cornwallis and feel free to email me as our family and our neighbours are trying to identify if there have been any other affected animals.
