Advice on invisible fence for dogs

If anyone has advice on recommended products for a wireless or invisible fence system to keep our dog within our property boundaries, I would really appreciate any help you can share with me. I am having a hard time determining which ones will actually be effective and reliable. We live on 1 acre. Thank you in advance for your recommendations and sharing your experience

I think they are the same company. We bought ours from Walmart. The kind with wire you bury, but i think they make one that is wireless. very good product. our dogs learned fast and we never have to worry about them running, getting lost or run over. We don't live on an acreage, but i recommend the fence. Less "mean" than having them hurt or dead.

We live in 2 acres and had the invisible fence brand put in. It is more expensive than buying at store and doing yourself. John came to our house and was very helpful with training our dogs so they would know the system. Very effective! You have to do training with your dog, it is not as simple as just putting the collar on and letting them figure it out. With proper training works very well.

If you wanted to try the Wireless version, I have one that I won't be using again. I have 2 collars (one that came with the system and one that I purchased after for my 2nd dog). Agree with previous comments that you have to train your dog and then the "fence" works quite well. Message me if you want to try it. Good luck!
