does anyone know how to get rid of magpies ? or does anyone have a magpie trap for sale ? Thanks

I had magpies trying to build a nest in my yard. I didn't want to kill them, I just figured that there were plenty of other places they could nest. I had to go out every couple of days and knock down the nest they started, and they eventually left.

if you have a pasture near you or a dog park, these things can and do live off the manure and dogy doo, their disgusting and will drive all your song birds away as they are also nest robbers.

We got one from Saskatchewan years ago.  
 
Google a pattern as there isn''t much to it and would be simple to make. Ours is a light metal frame but probably use PVC pipe or wood instead and chicken wire.  
 
We put cat food in it and the cats can get in and out and the dog leaves it alone. Magpies can get in but not out. It has a narrow cone for them to get in and presses their feathers down as they come in and when their feathers fluff up they can't get out at the narrow end.
