Property Tax Increase..SERIOUSLY!!???

Yes we have all been warned...but I was beyond shocked at the increase on our bill...!! I pay monthly and it went up $52.00/month! Thats over $600.00 per year and I was already paying $4200.00/yr! I admit perhaps I havent'been listening close enough to know why it has gone up SO much...does anyone know? I mean we live on the west end...we live in a 25 year old home, no sidewalk, not that great of a street, no back lane...etc...is it me or does this increase seem a bit extreme?
