although it is only for 10 days and volunteers have to buy their own uniforms. If you are into curling, it is a lot of fun!

I volunteer at MCC thrift shop - always busy, make your own schedule, many different jobs. Their are even evening volunteers for when the manager brings in children from schools, group homes, etc. and teaches them a bit about every area. They think running the till is great! They are also expanding, so will need more volunteers.
A good start to volunteer for anything is to go get your criminal record check done. I needed it when I volunteered at Rideau Park and MCC.
Volunteering at Rideau Park was different too. Sometimes the clients want to just sit outside, play cards, go for a walk, sit in their room and visit. There is an application on the hospital site for volunteers.
