Southend gas leak?

Good morning everybody! Just wondering if any you guys heard anything about a gas leak or something southend town here, around the Lyndale Drive area? We live on Sycamore, my bf tried coming home from work this morning, and he said he couldn’t get through because there is fire crew and cops blocking off both entrance ways? ??

Gas leak - curious

So what happens when a construction crew hits a gas line? Do they get fined or shut down?

Had proper paperwork

The construction company was given the all clear to excavate and had all the proper paperwork in order from manitoba hydro/ gas locates. There was an abandon line from the former kingsway trailer court that they were not informed of. After the fact they were told it was supposed to be crimped and shut off but infact was still live, so no fault of the construction company.
