It is sad day for the downtown. I can understand TD for moving as the parking plus changing it to one way street has been a major mistake for their business.  
 
I wonder how long it will be for the others to move as well. CIBC is a nightmare to get as well.  
 
However sad for downtown to lose another business that was a draw for people to go down town.  
 
Ah well downtowns are dying and will continue to die.

As a person who works downtown everyday, I am not a bit surprised that a bank would want to relocate from downtown. On a daily basis I am asked for money or smokes.... and every single day I witness someone in various stages of intoxication from alcohol or drugs. Downtown has changed SO much in just the last 10 years and not for the better. I am afraid many more businesses will pull out of downtown as well, many get complaints about customers being harassed. Not sure what needs to happen but it will soon be a ghost town down there.

I only go in to the branch when I absolutely need to. Several times I’ve had someone, who was hanging around in the parking lot, approach me as soon as I get out of the car asking for money.

That was part of the reason i left TD and moved to a bank with multiple branches and one not in downtown Brandon.  
 
I know the city and various groups are trying to clean up and revitalize downtown but its just not happening. Paint the walls all you want, still doesnt change the facts.  
 
Its gotten bad and only getting worse down there, the only time i go downtown is daytime or driving through it.
