Package to wrong address...

cmp said "I note that the tracking shows it was dropped at your door by the driver way back on the 20 May. Your part number listed in your post makes it look like it was possibly an axle shaft or brake rotors? Very specific stuff. If the parcel was picked up by a thief from your front door, then it will likley end up on kijiji, e-brandon, or some other online sales. I would suggest you keep an eye on those classifieds, although it will be hard to prove anything.
I recently shipped a very expensive item with Canada Post to a semi-rural address in S.Ontario, with signature required. The tracking showed where they "safe dropped" the parcel, which meant leaning it on the gate post. Luckily it was still there when the recipient got home 8 hours later. With the Covid induced surge of parcels and home deliveries, the companies really seem to be taking liberties with our merchandise.

I have been in contact with UPS and they have admitted it was delivered to the wrong address. The previous post is correct in that it is a specific auto part for a specific vehical, only valuble to a small segment of people. It might get sold to someone for a low ball price, might be useful to that person or more realistic it will sit in someones garage for the next 15 years on the shelf of "good intentions".
We've all received a package or letter that was delivered to the wrong address. My hope is that brandon still has a small town mindset where we prefer to right easy wrongs rather than wait for a corporation to start a lengthy "investigation process". We're neighbours, if I get your package know that I and many others will just walk it over or facebook message.
