    Medical terminology/ medical transcription info

    Anyone know where to take medical terminology courses? Also, how did you go about getting a job in medical trans:cription? I looked at ACC but can't find the medical terminology as stand alone courses that a person could take by distance. Any info is appreciated! Looking into some new career options.

    Are few and far between. Look up jobs in a health care region. Big demand for health care aides.

    Distance Learning options

    I took mine several years ago via distance self study from Mohawk College in Ontario. (If you want to use the course toward a health care certificate at ACC, just check to make sure that ACC will give you credit. )

    Took mine thru ACC many years ago. Evening classes once a week. Med Terminology can get you more than just a trans:cription job. Most medical field clerical jobs need this course as well. My “in” to the hospital was thru housekeeping then moved around from there into clerical positions once I completed the courses. There’s often clerical positions posted for PMH on their website.
