From 18th and Victoria, what is the fastest route (given average traffic and keeping speed limits) if one wants to drive West towards the Sask border? Going Victoria through Kemnay or heading North up 18th to the TransCanada and West from there?

Same question, what would be the fastest route from 1st and Victoria?

According to google maps, from 18th and Victoria, it's 3 minutes shorter to go straight west through Kemnay.

As long as you’re not driving or pulling something that won’t clear the Kemnay Rail Overpass!

Hit that overpass, and you won’t be going anywhere fast!

Even going to Saskatoon it's still faster going out through Kemnay. Double lane at 110 vs congested 16 highway.

I have no proof but I always go up to hyw and go. I feel through kemnay is slower. Getting to 4lane quicker ability to move around slower traffic easier. Feel I get behind someone on 1A that wants to do just under the speed limit for safety.

Unless you are west of 18th.

But as noted google says both basically the same. I bet traffic and lights and Getting on to hyw all balance out.

I'd imagine once they start building the 18th st bridge it would be faster to go out through Kemnay and avoid construction.

Best way we found when we were going from Brandon to Virden to work for years.
No congested traffic like on 18th and no lights.

People who are accustomed to a route will argue their route is best. Open google maps and Kemnay will be most direct.

Driving north is extra distance. I never found 18th or first to be congestion free.

If north of River I often use Grand Valley road.
