Wondering what people like about the charitable Thrift Stores in Brandon.

Because proceeds go to our hospital to buy needed supplies/equipment. I always donate there.

Favourite charitable thrift store for us is the Nearly New shop . All proceeds go to purchasing hospital equipment locally, which is something we all may end up needing at one point or another. I also love that the store is run by volunteers as opposed to paid staff (even though I know it’s good to create jobs within the other stores), but I find it’s run really well as the volunteers want to be there as opposed to have to be there. Also then more proceeds actually go to the charity (hospital) instead of wages, and prices don’t need to be jacked up. But that’s just my opinion.

Nearly New on 601-9th is my number 1. Volunteers are really nice & helpful and it's easy to drop off (they'll run out to vehicle to unload).  
 
MCC Thrift Store on 414 Pacific is a great shop too. Easy to donate to as well.  
 
I think Super Thrift 127-7th holds a lot of interesting goods too and a good cause, but I haven't been able to get there as much as the other 2. I plan to go there more.  
 
I think these 3 are all good causes, but the Nearly New Shop really benefits our local hospitals, so tend to donate there mostly.  
 
Personal preference not to donate to Value Village, as I don't believe in donating my goods that will be priced so high and with a low volume and accounting of donating locally (compared to profits). Google Value Village Profits. I've shopped there the odd time - only looking for a very specific item, but I don't regularly go there.

Super Thrift. Prices are right and they constantly have sales on for different items. Good cause as well.
